PRESS RELEASE - Proposed development
Based on the increased growth in all areas of CMS Cepcor Limited, our current premises at Vulcan way and Samson Road in Coalville are fast reaching capacity; a situation which has been under review for some time. Based on the existing substantial investment and specialist equipment installed at both sites, we have been looking to acquire a third site as close as possible to our two existing sites which could be our main storage warehouse... and distribution facility. We have explored a number of options over the last eighteen months without success.
Subsequently we have now reached initial agreement in principle with a developer for six acre site within a new proposed industrial park planned for Bardon Road in Coalville, opposite Bardon Hill Quarry with a projected completion of September 2019. The new site would become our global distribution hub and would allow further expansion of our manufacturing facilities at our Technical Centre along with our Service facility and large crusher component/assembly storage at our Vulcan way site. For clarification our global headquarters would remain at the current Vulcan way site.
After previous disappointments on potential sites, we would stress that the new site is in the early stages of planning and consultation. Local residents are now being consulted regarding the proposed industrial park as the project follows due process.
Currently with no options to purchase further land or buildings adjoining our current sites, which would logically be our preferred option, securing a further site within Coalville is the next best option and we hope this continued investment demonstrates the ambition the business has for further growth and to remain in the local area.
